We believe in transparency so we won’t charge you any hidden costs or surprise payments. After paying the one-time purchasing price for your device (where applicable), you’ll only pay a fixed transaction fee each time to take a payment.

For our card readers and POS Lite, this transaction fee is 1.69%. For our remote payment options (Online Store, Invoices, Payment Links, Gift Cards), you’ll pay 2.5% per transaction.

The Business Account is free of charge, as is the included business Mastercard.

To purchase or activate any of our products, you’ll first need to sign up for a free SumUp profile. If you want to use any of the remote payments options, you can do so by clicking the ‘Sign up for free’ button on this page. Next:

• You’ll be asked to fill in some details about yourself and your business to create your business profile

• You’ll then be taken to sumup.me, where you’ll see an overview of our products

• Choose the products you’d like to use from the overview screen or the left sidebar

• Activate these products by following the simple on-screen instructions (you may be taken to a page on the SumUp website to complete sign up for some products)

• Once activated, download the free, easy-to-use SumUp app to manage your transactions and activity straight from your mobile or tablet

For card reader purchases, whether you’ve chosen the Air or Solo with or without a printer, we believe that using your device should be simple and intuitive. To get started, click the ‘Buy a card reader’ button. Next, you’ll be led through a few steps to get set up. The same applies to Point of Sale Lite. No, you won’t be tied into a contract. We at SumUp pride ourselves in offering you a completely flexible way to accept payments with no commitments. Simply use your card reader when and wherever you need it.

You have two options to receive payouts. Either you choose to be paid into your own bank account, or you use the free SumUp Business Account that only takes a few minutes to set up.

The standard payout time is 2 - 3 working days. You can check the status of your payments by logging into your SumUp profile.
