The SumUp Card is delivered to you free of charge when you open a business account with SumUp. You can open your free business account in less than 10 minutes, all online.

If you’re an existing SumUp customer, you can order a card for free at any time. Simply open the SumUp app, tap “Business Account” and follow the on-screen steps.

Top up your balance while your card is en route, then activate it when it arrives and you’re ready to go.

The SumUp Card is 100% free. To order yours, all you need to do is open a free business account with SumUp.

Before you can start paying with your SumUp Card, you’ll first need to activate it. Activating your card is simple—all you need is your card and the SumUp app. 

1. Open the app and tap “Business Account”.

2. Follow the instructions to set up your account and activate your card.

3. Enter the required information, then set your PIN.

You can pay with your SumUp Card online or in any shop or app that accepts Mastercard. You can also use it to withdraw cash from any ATM in the country, with 3 free withdrawals each month.

Your card is also accepted worldwide, so you can use it whether you’re at home or overseas although withdrawals abroad do incur a 2% fee.

Your funds are protected at all times.

As an authorised electronic money institution in Europe, we're regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland and operate in accordance with their rules and regulations.

This means that we safeguard your funds in segregated accounts that are unattached to our own, so that whatever happens, your money is secure and available to you.

We also use 3D Secure technology to guarantee your payments are secure. Whenever you make a payment online using your SumUp Mastercard, you'll get a notification on your phone asking you to verify the transaction.

To help protect your money if your card is lost or stolen, there are certain limits on the amount you can transact (see below). You can contact our Support Team if you'd like to request a change to your limits.

• Per payment: €15,000

• Daily limit: €15,000

Cash withdrawals

• Per withdrawal: €500

• Daily limit: €2000

Outgoing transfers

• Per transfer: €15,000

• Daily limit: €25,000

• Monthly limit: €75,000

Incoming transfers

There are no limits on the amount of money you can receive.

You can use your SumUp Card to withdraw cash at home and abroad.

In Ireland, you can make 3 free withdrawals a month from any ATM. A 2% fee is applied to withdrawals beyond this free allowance as well as on any withdrawal made abroad.
