The Solo card reader is available in different packages to suit your needs. By default, each Solo package includes:

• USB-C charging cable

• Card scheme sticker and display card

• User guide

If you want to print receipts, you can choose one of our printer bundles:

• Solo and counter printer – includes a printer that doubles as a charging station for stationary use

• Solo and mobile printer – ideal for printing on the go

Both printer bundles include the same charging cables and accessories as the Solo package, but do not include an additional charging station.

Setting up your Solo card reader is very straightforward. Simply turn on your device, follow the instructions on screen and you’re ready to take payments.

Yes, it’s designed to keep you selling wherever you are. The Solo comes with a built-in 4G SIM card and free unlimited data, so you can take payments on the go. And when WiFi is available, you can simply connect to that instead.

Charging your Solo is simple. You can use the included USB-C cable or the charging station that comes in the box. If you’ve chosen a bundle with the printer, just slot your reader into the printer to charge it there too.

You can, no phone or tablet is needed. Solo works fully on its own, so you can log in directly on the device and start taking payments straight away. Everything syncs automatically, including your item catalogue and sales history.

Absolutely. You can add multiple card readers to a single profile, making it easy for your team to take payments at the same time, whether you’re in one location or across several.

SumUp keeps pricing simple and transparent. You either have the choice to pay as you go or sign up for our cost-saving Payments Plus plan.

With the pay-as-you-go plan, there’s no monthly cost – you just pay 1.69% per transaction for card reader payments. This is perfect if your sales vary through the year and you want full flexibility with no monthly cost.

If you’re making more than €3,300 per month in payments, you can save on transaction fees by signing up for the Payments Plus plan. It costs €19 per month and reduces your transaction fee to 0.95% for domestic consumer cards. Online payments have a 1.69% fee, and in-person payments with non-EU or corporate cards (including AMEX) have a 1.69% fee. These rates apply to both the pay-as-you go option and the Payments Plus plan.

You have two options to receive payouts: either the SumUp Business Account or your own bank account. The perk of the Business Account? You’ll always receive your earnings by 7am the next day – even on weekends and bank holidays. No monthly fees. Plus, you'll get a Mastercard for all your business expenses. If you choose to use your own bank account, your funds will arrive in 1-2 business days.

Your money will appear in your Business Account the next day at 7am – even on weekends and bank holidays. You can then spend or withdraw your money using your complementary Business Mastercard. If you prefer, you can opt to receive payouts directly to any other bank account, with funds arriving within 1-2 business days.

Great! You’ve taken the first step towards accepting payments with SumUp. Once your order and payment are confirmed, we’ll process and dispatch your device. You’ll receive a confirmation message and a tracking link via SMS and email, so you can follow its journey. Standard delivery usually takes 3-5 business days.
