How much does SumUp charge?

We believe in transparency so you can be sure that we won’t charge you any hidden costs or surprise payments.

If you choose our pay-as-you-go plan, you’ll pay the one-time purchasing price for the hardware device you choose (where applicable), and then you’ll simply pay a fixed transaction fee each time you take a payment. For in-person payments, the transaction fee is 1.69%. For a online payment, you’ll pay 2.5% per transaction.

If you sign up to our flexible monthly plan, Payments Plus, you can enjoy cheaper transaction fees on each payment you take. For the monthly cost of £19, we’ll only charge you 0.99% for all in-person payments. Payments made with an international or corporate cards (including AMEX) have a 1.69% fee.

Can I accept cash payments with SumUp?

Yes, of course. We know that you need to be flexible when it comes to offering your customers a variety of ways to pay for your products and services. Follow this simple step-by-step guide to enable and accept cash payments via the SumUp App. You won’t be charged any transaction cost for cash payments.
