You pay the one-time hardware cost, and then a fixed transaction fee each time you take a payment. If you choose our pay-as-you-go plan, the transaction fee for card reader payments is 1.69%. If you choose the cost-saving Payments Plus plan, the transaction fee is 0.99% for domestic consumer cards.

You can choose to have your payouts sent to your free SumUp Business Account or your own bank account. With the SumUp Business Account, you get paid out by 7am the next day (even on weekends and holidays) and a free Mastercard for expenses. If you prefer your own bank account, payouts arrive in 1 to 2 business days.

No, you don’t. With SumUp, you pay the transaction fee per transaction when you get paid. You do not pay anything when you are not using the card reader.

With our pay-as-you-go plan, there are no contracts or commitments. You simply pay a transaction fee whenever you process a payment.

For those looking to lower fees, we also offer the option to upgrade to our Payments Plus or POS Plus plans, available on a monthly or annual commitment.
