FAQs

Which plan is best for my business?: The Free plan offers up to 4 invoices per calendar month with the standard SumUp invoice template. If that suits your business, then there's no need to upgrade to Plus.
If your business requires more than 4 invoices per month, invoice customisation, bank transfers to any bank, priority support or multiple invoice languages, then we recommend upgrading to the Plus plan.
What are online payments?: When we talk about online payments, we're referring to invoice payments in which the customer enters their credit card details into a secure webpage or pays via another online method such as Apple Pay. This is the easiest way for your customers to pay you and the fastest way for you to receive your money.
We charge transaction fees for online invoice payments only. There are no transaction fees for bank transfers or cash payments. The transaction fee is 2.5%, meaning for every £100 you invoice, we will take a £2.50 cut to cover the expenses incurred from the card schemes (Mastercard, Visa, etc.).
When will I be charged?: When paying for a subscription, you’ll be charged in advance for the selected billing period. Subsequent payments for subscription renewals occur one month/year after your first payment, depending on the billing period you selected.
Which payment methods can I use?: You can pay for your subscription using a debit or credit card. We’re working on making more payment methods available in the future.
When will my subscription renew?: Your subscription will renew automatically in accordance with the monthly/yearly billing period you selected.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?: Of course! If you change your mind, you can cancel your subscription at any time from your SumUp Dashboard.
When you cancel your subscription, you will still have access to the features you paid for until the end of the current billing period after which time you will automatically return to the Free plan.
