Empowering Women in Business: A Long Lunch with SumUp and Self Events Co
While International Women’s Day has passed, its spirit continues to thrive. Originally planned for March, Self Events Co’s highly anticipated IWD celebration has been rescheduled for May—yet its message remains just as powerful. SumUp is proud to partner with Self Events Co to host an inspiring long lunch in Mooloolaba, dedicated to honouring and empowering the incredible women around us.
This year’s event theme is “March Forward”—a call to stand tall, support one another, and champion meaningful change. It’s a timely reminder that progress doesn’t stop in March. The journey continues, and so does the celebration.
A Long Lunch with Purpose
This relaxed, welcoming event invites a community of like-minded women—and supportive men—to come together over a delicious long lunch by the sea. It’s a chance to connect, reflect, and celebrate the strength, resilience, and brilliance of women from all walks of life.
This event will create a space where real conversations can happen. From the challenges women face in the workplace or at home, to the wins and breakthroughs that deserve a cheer—we’re talking about it all. This event is about showing up, not just for ourselves, but for each other.
Guest Speakers Who Inspire
Joining for the day are two powerhouse women who embody everything this event stands for—Lucy Jackson and Nikki Westcott.
Best friends turned business partners, Lucy and Nikki have taken their North Queensland roots and turned them into a global success story. From their fashion label JGR & STN to the wildly popular Happy Hour Podcast, a national radio show, and their own wine brand Jackson West, these two are a testament to dreaming big and working hard—without ever losing their authenticity.
Expect laughs, honest advice, and plenty of inspiration as they share their journey in their trademark “Advice with the Queens” style.
