Build an e-commerce website and start selling today

Ecommerce is defined as buying and selling goods and services online. Although it usually refers to the selling of physical items, ecommerce is any commercial transaction made over the internet.

To start selling online, create a free online store with SumUp. It works on desktop computers or with the smartphone app. Then simply:

1. Add items to the item catalogue

2. Add shipping methods

3. Edit the look of your store

4. Press publish

5. Promote your store

You can easily sell online store items on Instagram. After adding items, promote them with images and store URLs, or on any other social media or messaging app.

Whether you already have a physical store or want to start an online business from scratch, the SumUp Online Store is one of the best ecommerce solutions you’ll find – and it’s free to open your own store.

All you need is a SumUp profile and items to sell. Create your profile now and then download the free SumUp Business app. Open the app and follow the online store setup guide to add items, shippings methods and start selling from anywhere.

You don’t need any specialised skills to design your store. After finishing the setup, you can add a storefront template, banners, images and write item descriptions – no technical knowledge required.
