We’re looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our Payouts Squad. The team is looking after the business critical payouts component of our proprietary payment processing platform. It is responsible for processing global SumUp payouts for millions of customers.
You will join the team just in time to help us build a brand new, scalable asynchronous message driven payout platform. You will be a part of a local, autonomous, cross-functional team with an end-to-end responsibility for a business critical high impact domain.
This could be a combined manual and automation testing effort and will include the creation of test strategy and framework, in cooperation with the team.
What you’ll do
You will have an active role in laying the foundations of the test strategy & plan in the squad, executing a big part of it. This is a backend-only team.
As part of a product development team, you will take part in feature discussions and have the opportunity to improve our customers' experience.
You will participate in handling issues, including investigation, communication and delivery of fixes.
You will promote the quality guidelines set by the QA chapter within your squad and ensure these guidelines are adequate for your squad’s specific needs.
You will be offered the opportunity to contribute to the code base, or build the automation framework if that is within your professional interests.
You’ll be great for this position if
You can read any high-level language such as Java/JS/PHP/Python//C#.
You have a deep understanding of how web, RESTful, event-driven applications work in a microservices environment.
You have a good understanding of technical monitoring and are able to track quality metrics adequately.
You are a self-driven lifelong learner with fluent English who likes to share knowledge.
Experience with Kafka/another message broker, CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, or similar to payments business domain are considered a strong advantage.
