Senior Global Transfer Pricing Specialist, Bulgaria

The role is based in Sofia, Bulgaria.

What you’ll do?

  • You will prepare and update our transfer pricing policy and the related internal procedures and support SumUp in its implementation

  • You will draft and maintain entity tax profiles as well as analyze the effects of business changes / restructurings / reorganizations

  • You will prepare and update of the transfer pricing documentation of the entities in SumUp Group, including end-to-end drafting of the Masterfile and local files

  • You will prepare benchmark studies for the intercompany transactions within SumUp Group

  • You will support the process of integrating new acquisition, including analyzing their historical position and drive the process of their integration in the transfer pricing framework of SumUp Group;

  • You will support, monitor and consult various teams with respect to the transfer pricing policy and compliance 

  • You will be participating in the intercompany transactions remuneration calculations preparation - drafting methodological guidance, reviewing actual calculations

  • You are going to take lead in the communication with internal and external auditors, as well as take ownership of the relationship with third party tax consultants in relation to TP

  • You will communicate with different teams, including Controlling and Financial, Planning & Analysis to clarify questions concerning input data used for transfer pricing purposes;

  • You will be analyzing the intercompany transactions with the aim to ensure alignment between (1) intercompany documentation (policies, Masterfile, local files), agreements and accounting documents (invoices / notes / others) and (2) the tax treatment of the same transaction from a VAT, withholding tax, etc., perspective.

  • You will be monitoring the consolidated financial results of SumUp Group and timely and smooth implementation of the Country-by-Country reporting obligations.

  • You will participate in and lead other projects, processes, tasks with impact on our TP position as a company

You’ll be great for this role if:

  • You own a Master’s degree in Economic / Finance / Accounting  or other relevant field;

  • You come with 4+ years of practical working experience in the field of transfer pricing gained in BIG 4 and in-house, including end-to-end preparation of TP documentation: 

  • drafting master files, local files, 

  • selecting and substantiating appropriate TP methods 

  • selecting appropriate performance indicators, calculating, and benchmarking them

  • reviewing cost basis for appropriateness / consistency with the TP policy.

  • You possess strong general tax knowledge and understanding how TP affects other taxes (VAT, WHT, CIT, etc.).

  • You possess a strong accounting background – understanding accounting data and their impact on the TP, and the interactions between management and statutory accounts.

  • You come with strong practical experience in SAP, MS Excel, benchmark databases

  • You speak fluent English language

  • You have a great ability to exercise sound judgment in line with company policies and procedures

  • You thrive in dynamic environments and are a skilled multitasker

  • You have analytical thinking and attention to detail

  • You are an autonomous and proactive person

  • You have the ability to identify greenfields and turn them into OKRs
