Global Process Owner Accounts Payable (Procure to Pay)

In Sofia or São Paulo we are looking for the Global Process Owner Accounts Payable (Procure to Pay)  for our Global Accounting team.

This role will play a crucial part in advancing SumUp to a world-class level of Financial processes through implementing robust but light-weight processes, leveraging time-saving automation, and empowering our talented teams all over the world. What will you do: 

  • Possess full ownership of global Procure to Pay (P2P) processes and act as a subject matter expert

  • Provide both strategic as well as tactical insight into global processes, automation opportunities, and future-state developments for our global P2P process

  • Develops strategy collaboratively and establish policy of a global nature for the organization’s P2P activities

  • Execute global deployment and adoption of the P2P processes with regional and local customization as needed

  • Contribute to selection of tools, techniques and systems according to architectural requirements and demands

  • Analyze, develop new and adjust existing end to end processes/ services, standards or operational plans, and deliver results with direct impact on P2P process

  • Participate in our ERP and system enhancements, and drive communications and change management activities including training to prepare the organization for continuous process improvements

  • Stay abreast of current accounting, business process trends, and leading practices occurring in the industry to inform strategic direction and process enhancement including artificial intelligence (AI)

  • Lead M&A integration activities for P2P and participate in global transformational and cross-functional process and system improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and scalable end-to-end processes to ensure our P2P processes are meeting the needs of the global business

  • Support the internal controls process design and implementation and advice on improvement areas

  • Work closely with internal audit and external auditors to ensure all compliance activities are properly executed in a timely manner

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 5+ years of accounting experience in P2P process or general accounting experience

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree (BA) or Master's degree in Accounting

  • You possess ACCA certification or similar relevant certifications

  • You have an advanced knowledge of ERP, MS Office and process mapping tools (Miro, Licudchart, etc.)  

  • You have process knowledge, process mapping experience and subject matter expertise

  • You have project management and change management skills and thrive in a fast paced environment

  • You have strong communication skills and you are as persuasive in English both written and spoken as in your mother tongue

  • You deeply understand SumUp business, and can easily translate strategic decisions into tack 

  • You have people management skills, you lead by example and inspire teams and individuals to grow

  • If you have IT and AI skills, which would be a strong advantage for this role.
