Procure-to-Pay Intern

As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to experience the real world of business forecasting and implement your ideas in ongoing projects. You'll play a vital role in helping the team define what excellence looks like in the Procure-to-Pay area.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor and manage the Procure to pay e-mail inbox, ensuring timely correspondence and resolution of inquiries.

  • Review, and verify vendor invoices, flagging any discrepancies or unusual items for clarification.

  • Conduct research to resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.

  • Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and maintain positive relationships.

  • Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system accurately.

  • Regularly review, investigate, reconcile, account bank transactions and assist with month-end closing.

  • Ensure the accurate maintenance of historical records and accounting ledgers while upholding the strict confidentiality of organisational information.

  • Acquire and develop relevant skills - practical accounting principles, accounting and financial data management, facilitating internal and external communication around payments and accounting procedures, build and present reports, apply relevant theoretical knowledge, learn and practice stakeholder and peer communication management.

You’ll be great for this role if the below apply to you:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) or Master in Accounting or a relevant field is required – completed or in process of completion

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

  • Good level of MS Office and proven knowledge of accounting principles

  • Very good analytical skills and high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Target-driven with ability to remain focused on goals and maintaining effective work despite challenges

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure in a high-paced multinational organisation

  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and cross functional collaboration skills

  • Strong team player able to interact with colleagues at all levels

  • Enthusiastic, dedicated and willing to learn, conscientious with a “can-do” attitude and a proactive work ethic
