In one of our squads - EU Payments - we are focused on enhancing our existing payments platforms in order to advance and scale our payments acceptance capabilities.
As a Senior Software Engineer in the EU Payment squad, you will continuously extend European market product needs and capabilities to make our customers more successful in what they like doing. You’ll be part of a local, autonomous, cross-functional team that can take an aspect of our products, improve, adapt and perfect them from concept to execution.
What you’ll do
Design, build and maintain back-end services between distributed systems
Design and deliver integration solutions ensuring they conform to the design principles, standards and guidelines
Participate in API design and implementation for both internal APIs and those exposed to our third-party integrators
Provide comprehensive documentation, good test coverage, and improve code quality
Collaborate with other software developers, QA and DevOps engineers to ensure smooth deployment, continuous integration, and support for the software that we deliver
Actively participate in code reviews with other software engineers
You will be working closely with our EU organizations - merchant growth, market operations, online store and others - enabling them with features based on our products
Support technical discussions during requirements analysis and scope definition
Participate in team retrospectives and document lessons learned
You will be great for this role if
You have several years of programming experience - preferably in Golang.
You have experience with consumption of web services/APIs (ideally via Golang).
You understand fundamental system architecture, design principles, data modeling, and API design.
You have a DevOps mindset.
Kafka, Postgres are not unknown to you. You’re familiar with AWS, Kubernetes (user, not admin experience).
You have a mature and business minded approach to your work.
You are innovative, enthusiastic, open, collaborative and with expert problem-solving skills.
You are fluent in English.
