People Operations Partner - UK/IE

As part of the People team you will be responsible for the UK and Ireland HR routines. You will also help us to take our people data reports to a new level, whilst ensuring that the employees information is always accurate. The SumUp innovation environment is also present in our routine. That means new challenges everyday to deliver the best experience for our employees.

This is a part-time position (32 hours per week) with a 1 year fixed term contract.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for all aspects of end to end employee lifecycle - including onboarding, benefits administration and off-boarding for all employees across the UK and Ireland

  • Guidance & consultation on employee matters like parental leave, maternity leave, benefits, relocations and transfers

  • Handling complex termination and relocation cases independently

  • Ensuring records, contractual changes and other people related documentation are processed and up-to-date

  • Collaborate with the People Operations Team in Europe and with the Payroll and Mobility teams 

  • Continuously challenging and improving the processes to ensure the best employee experience

You’ll be great for this role if:

  • You have at least 2 years experience as People Operations Partner / HR Generalist

  • You have strong Labour Law knowledge in the UK and Ireland 

  • You have contributed to the development and implementation of HR policies

  • You have worked with HR systems, preferably Workday, and are familiar with Atlassian tools, like Jira service desks

  • You love working with people and care about great employee experience

  • You know how to prioritise to meet deadlines and know when to ask for support

  • You are able to work in a fast paced environment, where accuracy matters
