About the role
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will join the Supply Chain team which is part of the broader Hardware team. You will make sure that the Secure Environments on our manufacturing sites are compliant with all the applicable payment regulations. You will also deploy and maintain all the tools required for the certificate injection.
You will be collaborating directly with the factories and SumUp’s R&D team. Your objective will be understanding the issues that are on the production line and working with different stakeholders to improve them.

What you will do:
Design and implementation of the PCI PIN-compliant secure environment for manufacturing lines
Commission remotely full-automated secure room machines for certification and registration authority operations
Deploy, configure and maintain secure software utilities and hardware running inside the secure room. But also in the Secure room lab setup.
Lead security-related certifications for Supply Chain and Manufacturing end (Solo PCI PTS, PIN, P2PE, Common Criteria)
Contributor and maintenance for First Article Inspection for image release for manufacturing
Design/review working instructions for manufacturing
Investigate manufacturing issues, such as assembly issues
Support deploying process/test changes in the manufacturing line
Testing SW/HW changes before introducing them to the manufacturing line
You'll be great for this position if:
You have at least 3 years working in manufacturing domain, preferably working on an electronic product
You are able to understand/read schematics and gerbers with digital / analog electronics
You are familiar with reading and analysing logs
Nice to have:
You know how to use Linux on a basic user level
You have some experience developing in C programming language
You have knowledge in security or payment security certifications (PCI PTS, PIN, P2PE, Common Criteria)
