Chief People Officer

We believe the Chief People Officer will play a key role in bringing SumUp to the next level and making the organisation “healthier”.

What you’ll do 

The Chief People Officer will be co-creating the global people strategy and driving its implementation across different pillars including employee experience, learning & growth, people operations and talent acquisition with the goal of increasing organisational health and overall talent density. The role will report to  the Global CEO and will be directly responsible for the teams of Strategic Talent Acquisition, People Development, People Technology & Analytics, Global Rewards & People Operations and indirectly Global People Chapter. The position will be based in Berlin.

  • Co-create the global people strategy and drive its implementation directly and indirectly.

  • Take ownership of all people operations and tools in close collaboration with our finance teams.

  • Co-create and drive a compensation and incentivization strategy that attracts and retains the best talent.

  • Co-create and drive a successful talent acquisition and employer branding strategy.

  • Coach leadership for effective talent management.

  • Lead and develop an impactful global people team. 

You’ll be great for this role if,

  • You have assumed a global or regional people leadership role in a similar large, multi-national and complex organisation,

  • You have a deep understanding of the dynamics of decentralized, flat, autonomous, globally distributed and multicultural company environments,

  • You have a strong business acumen who can understand the needs of the market and different teams and coach the stakeholders accordingly,  

  • You’re a people leader, developing your team members and collaborating effectively with various indirect teams,

  • You have a data driven approach with strong project management skills,

  • You’re a strong communicator,

  • You identify with our organisational vision
