SumUp’s treasury function has increased in sophistication and complexity. The Global Head of Treasury will be taking treasury to the next level by optimizing the cash positioning as well as supporting operations of the business.
The Head of Treasury will play a critical role in the smooth and efficient running of our global Treasury activities, and also deep in the operations of our business at the points where we interact with and service merchants on a daily basis. This person will be reporting to the Global CFO and managing a team of four people. The role will be based in either Berlin or Sofia depending on the candidate’s preference.
What you’ll do
Continue the development of the Treasury function by defining the cash and liquidity management strategy and advancing process automation for SumUp globally
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all cash and treasury reporting, as well as the smooth functioning of all cash related activities for both corporate and merchant cash
Implement treasury management systems globally and ensure scalability of processes
Develop relationships with stakeholders and bring them on board for the implementation of the required processes and systems
You’ll be great for this role if:
You have strong Treasury or FP&A management experience in complex tech organizations ideally in payments industry
You have experience in cash flow and liquidity management across global or multi-country organizations
You have experience in optimization of fund placement, for both risk and yield management
You have implemented treasury systems in large organizations
You have experience in working in a regulated environment
You have a high degree of comfort in dealing with ambiguity, dynamic environments and shifting priorities
You value excellent communication and analytical skills and have a high level of integrity
You have experience managing a variety of global stakeholders and act as a trusted partner
People leadership is your strong suit - you have built and help grow teams and individuals
