Corporate Finance Intern

As our Corporate Finance Intern, you will be at the heart of SumUp’s decisions about finance and strategy and help shape the firm’s future. There will be no such thing as a typical day as you will deal with various exciting tasks. This role can offer you a diverse learning experience with unlimited growth potential. 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to analyze budget, business plans, and cash flow projections

  • Analyze financial data to identify risks and opportunities and provide financial expertise to support decision-making in key areas such as capital allocation or product development

  • Support cross-functional projects to maximize financial performance, such as pricing strategies,  revenue optimization, or cost reduction initiatives

  • Give meaning to data and support the team in building reporting and presentations for senior leadership

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to assess performance against goals

  • Contribute to optimizing and automating all finance-related processes by implementing new methodologies and/or tools.

You’ll be great for this role if:

  • You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to other members of the organization.

  • You have a master’s degree in a financial discipline

  • You have at least one prior experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, or fast-paced environments such as venture capital, startups or equivalent

  • You master financial modeling and forecasting techniques

  • You are able to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders

  • You give strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications

  • Experience working with SAP is a plus
