About the Digital Analytics team:

The team is part of the global Data Platform team and their mission is to, “enable digital analytics capabilities across SumUp by providing common tooling, conventions and knowledge for product and growth teams so they can measure their business impact based on high quality and accessible data.

The team is responsible for making it possible for teams across the company to understand the user behaviour in their web and mobile applications/products and also to drive the experimentation.

Some of the tools and technologies used in the team:

  • Google Analytics

  • Google Tag Manager

  • Google Apps Script (JavaScript)

  • Optimizely

About the role & what you’ll do:

As a Technical Product Manager - Digital Analytics, you’ll be working with various product teams across SumUp to help meet their tracking and experimentation needs through digital analytics strategy.

  • You’ll own the problem space of Digital Analytics, the long term strategy and roadmap to enable product and growth teams across the organisation to meet their measurement goals.

  • You’ll create and align company-wide tracking implementation conventions for Digital Analytics.

  • You’ll act as a translator between product managers, analysts and engineers and establish a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

  • You’ll upskill various stakeholder groups in the use of Digital Analytics tooling and regularly update them on new features.

  • You’ll be setting up the standards and best practices for experimentation

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have experience in owning a digital analytics solution (Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel) on an enterprise level.

  • You have hands-on experience in tracking implementation and know your way around tag management systems (such as Google Tag Manager).

  • You have experience in guiding various teams from measurement strategy to implementation and insights.

  • You have a good understanding of the tracking landscape and how it fits into modern web & app development.

  • Ideally you’re proficient in a programming language (e.g. JavaScript) and able to discuss code examples.

  • You’re well aware of privacy implications and know how to navigate them.

  • You understand how to balance business requirements, technical restrictions, and user experience when creating plans.
