The Platform Tribe’s mission is to “enable SumUppers to build, run and communicate innovative and cohesive products & services - globally, at scale”. We’re focused on empowering SumUppers with tools to accelerate the development and engagement of our customer-facing products.
As a Senior T**echnical Product Manager - DevOps/SRE** in the Platform Tribe, you'll lead the product vision, strategy and roadmap for our DevOps and SRE teams. Collectively you own parts of SumUp's core infrastructure, and are responsible for building and maintaining reliable, secure, and simple-to-use tools that empower engineers across SumUp. The technologies we use includes AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Terraform (for API-defined resources) and Kubernetes.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points, and how they tie in to our wider company objectives, to inform product decisions and priorities.
Establish and measure key product metrics to track the success and impact of the Platform team's products and services.
Drive adoption of the DevOps Platform team's products and services through effective marketing, communication, and education to internal customers, leveraging the expertise of the Engineering Managers and other Agile Coaches to drive engagement and ownership.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technical landscape, trends, and best practices in operations, site reliability engineering, and developer experience that impact internal customers.
In all of the above, develop means to track and control operating and development costs.
You’ll be great for this role if you have
Strong technical acumen and experience working with complex technology products and services, with a focus on operations engineering, site-reliability engineering, and developer experience.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills in English, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to inform decision-making and prioritisation.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of both technology and business needs, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
