About the Senior Data Platform Engineer in CRM Integrations Squad:
The team is part of the Platform Tribe and is focusing on setting up the data infrastructure that enables Salesforce as our CRM System. We are building our platform using the latest technology and we want you to help us raise the bar and drive these changes.
Some of the tools and technologies used in the team:
AWS and Terraform for our Cloud Infrastructure
Airflow, Kafka, Spark, Mulesoft for our batch and stream processing pipelines
Snowflake for data warehousing
Salesforce as our CRM Platform

About the role & what you’ll do:
As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for
Building and scaling complex data pipelines and streaming solutions that collect data into our data lake and provide data to internal services and external users.
CI/CD management for Kafka Components / Data Lake pipelines for a CRM/Customer Data Platform.
Contributing to architecture, guidelines and best practices for building and maintaining our data platform.
Working closely with the stakeholders on data solutions.
Engaging in knowledge sharing activities.
Participating in hiring new engineers for the team
Develop, scale and maintain big data infrastructure in the cloud. In particular, data lake and big data processing tools
Create playbooks to provision and deploy data engineering tools in AWS
Apply best security practices to design and implement the data lake in the cloud
Help users to build their own data in/out pipelines via Spark or Flink
You’ll be great for this role if you have
Experience working with data or backend engineering on large scale systems with high throughput (5+ years of full time work experience in Data Engineering, previous background in backend development would be a plus)
Commercial experience working with Python and Scala/Spark
In depth knowledge of AWS technologies
Demonstrable experience working with Kafka (On-premises, Confluent or AWS Managed Kafka) and stream processing frameworks
Commercial experience with Kubernetes as the container orchestration platform
You have previous experience delivering Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
Nice to have:
Further experience in Go/Java/Ruby is considered a plus.
First-hand experience in mentoring.
Previous experience within the financial services and banking domain
Familiarity with CRM Systems like Salesforce
