Engineering Manager - Online Payments

In the Online Payments Tribe you will be working in the team responsible for building the APIs and SDKs our merchants can use to accept payments on their websites or apps. We develop core features and guarantee the best integration experience, making the integration process as simple as possible.

 What you’ll do

  • Be a technical and people lead for a team of 2 to 4 engineers

  • Be hands on for 70% of the time

  • Optimize the squad's deliveries, as measured through business impact and customer satisfaction

  • Engage in design and code reviews

  • Be an advocate of test practices and techniques like TDD, Domain Driven Design, and pair programming

  • Use regular 1:1s to manage performance and guide your team through their career development

  • Engage and improve our engineering culture by leading team-strengthening activities, such as offsites, hackathons, cross-team projects, and knowledge-sharing sessions

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 8+ years of experience as a software engineer with several years in a Tech Lead role

  • You are a confident Golang engineer

  • You have experience with the JVM stack

  • You’re a confident user of the AWS infrastructure

  • IaaC resonates with you

  • You have experience with distributed and fault-tolerant systems

  • You have a passion for clean, maintainable, and testable code

  • You have a mature and business-minded approach to your work

Nice to have:

  • You have people management experience
