Engineering Manager, Onboarding

Berlin, Germany · Engineering

SumUp enables merchants around the world to get paid easily, process orders quickly, sell online instantly and manage their money more efficiently. SumUp creates the tools merchants need to make their customer experience and their business thrive.

For new customers to start using SumUp’s products, it is essential that we validate these customers and their business, known as “know your customer” (KYC) and “know your business” (KYB). The Onboarding team is responsible for collecting all the data that is needed for that in the smoothest and easiest possible way during the onboarding of new customers. Onboarding is crucial for the growth and success of SumUp and its merchants. It is a complex challenge as requirements differ by country and we orchestrate multiple own and third party services to obtain this information in the most reliable and automated way possible.
