As a member of the Store Management team, you will work on Item Catalog and enable our Merchants to maintain all their items & services in one place and give them a complete record of their item offerings and business process to run their business successfully.

What you’ll do:
Build and thoroughly monitor a world-class events-driven system
Make sure that SumUp merchants can seamlessly grow their business, relying on their Item Catalog to grow with them
Work with multiple stakeholders, including your fellow teammates, product manager, engineering manager, and b2b consumers of catalog.
Share your know-how and learn from experienced and highly motivated colleagues
Wok in a healthy and fun team environment
You’ll be great for this role if:
You’ve developed production systems using Kotlin + Java (we’re using Kotlin with Spring Boot)
You’re familiar with any cloud infrastructure (we’re using AWS: S3, SQS, AmazonMQ, RDS, and Kubernetes)
You’re familiar with message queues (we’re using Kafka and RabbitMQ)
You’ve built REST and gRPC APIs (with a focus on latter)
You have a strong focus on observability and stability of the developed system (most of the team members are in on-call rotation)
