About the Analytics Team in Platform Tribe:

SumUp is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to strengthen their EU GTM Analytics Team. The mission of the EU GTM (Go-To-Market) Tribe at SumUp is to drive growth and profitability in the European market by acquiring new merchants and expanding the business with existing ones.

They are responsible for developing and executing marketing and sales strategies, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This role is crucial for scaling and advancing EU GTM analytics capabilities.

About the role & what you’ll do:

  • Design and build data models that align with EU GTM KPIs

  • Ensure the reliability and quality of EU GTM ETL pipeline and KPIs.

  • Leverage data to drive business decisions and outcomes through rigorous analysis, data visualisation, and communication of insights.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and data analysts to define KPIs and consolidate business logic, ensuring that the metrics and data models accurately reflect the needs of the business and stakeholders.

  • Encourage and promote the use of dbt and software engineering practices among Data Analysts, to ensure data quality, scalability, and maintainability of data models and pipelines

  • Create data products for other domains and leverage existing data products. 

  • Establish and take ownership of the GTM data infrastructure (git, airflow, dbt, snowflake) to enable self-service analytics for Data Analysts 

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 5+ years of professional work experience in tech, start-up, data warehousing, or analytics.

  • You have knowledge of dbt, Airflow, Git, CI/CD, AWS.

  • You have experience with designing, building, and managing complex data models using knowledge of data warehouse principles (ideally Snowflake) with an eye towards performance and maintainability

  • You are able to analyse business requirements in various functional areas and translate them into data product

  • You have experience with building advanced dashboards, ideally with Tableau.

  • You possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, effective communication skills, and a strategic mindset, enabling you to work effectively with GTM leadership

  • You have development experience in Python

Nice to have:

  • Experience with data mesh architecture

  • Experience in fintech and transactional data models.

  • Experience with GTM 3rd party tools (e.g Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud, Ads platforms, SAP)
