Data Analyst

You will join the Growth Tribe within SumUp and help us grow SumUp's multi-product merchant base. Our goal is to turn interested merchants into live merchants by offering an intuitive, trustworthy and cohesive experience from the first touch point on the marketing site to engaging with our products & services as they need them. 

As a Data Analyst, you will turn data into insights for growth and product teams to empower them in making better decisions and provide insights to the leadership team, e.g., on the impact of strategic initiatives on the key metrics. You will identify opportunities, manage stakeholder reporting expectations, and influence SumUp partners to act. This means you will be responsible for setting up and supporting end-to-end dashboard development, including requirements gathering and monitoring, and maintaining existing dashboards in production (Tableau).

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with organizational leaders to identify informational needs

  • Create KPIS based on business requirements and align them globally

  • Generate reports (i.e. Tableau) and presentations on results findings to promote a data-driven organization

  • Analyze data sets to spot trends and patterns that can be translated into actionable insights

  • Collect data from different sources using SQL and assess the quality of the data

  • Running product experiments by designing and analyzing AB tests

  • Build Data Products together with Analytical Engineers, provide clear documentation and ensure quality of the data models

  • Present findings in an easy-to-understand way to inform data-driven decisions

Your Profile:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong SQL skills

  • Experience with designing and analyzing experiments (A/B tests)

  • Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery or similar 

  • Tableau (or a similar visualization tool) 

  • Communication and presentation skills

  • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python or R  

  • Experience with Git, Airflow

  • DBT Experience

  • Experience with Google Analytics (or similar web analytics tool)
